As we're getting closer to the release of Fedora 15, the Cloud SIG test day is this Thursday, April 28. The focus will be on using BoxGrinder and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) with Fedora 15.
BoxGrinder is "a set of projects that help you grind out appliances for multiple virtualization and Cloud providers." Another way to put it is that BoxGrinder makes it easy to create and deploy custom installations of Fedora, Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS to your favorite KVM, Xen or VMWare based clouds. This includes private clouds and EC2.
If you don't already have Fedora 15 installed, LiveCD images and meta-appliances for Xen, KVM, Virtualbox, VMWare and EC2 will be available. Detailed instructions for how to test are available on the Fedora wiki and assistance from the BoxGrinder team, Fedora QA and the Fedora Cloud SIG will be available in #fedora-test-day on Freenode IRC (WebIRC link for people without an IRC client).
So whether you are already using cloud based system and want to help make them better or just want to learn more about making cloud solutions easier; come join us for some test day fun on April 28.
